EEA Chapter 4
Teniac had excellent architecture, and people took great pride in it. Many nobles attached the names of the castles where they were born after their names. Crown Prince Roylin Theresia de Calise of Teniac, born in the imperial castle Calise, was no exception.
He frowned when he came to visit Clint at the outer castle. Clint, who should normally be meeting women and drowning in alcohol, had been sighing and avoiding Roylin for the past few days.
Roylin said to him.
"Clint, I haven't seen you around lately."
"I'm abstaining as a form of reflection."
"What reflection?"
Since Roylin seemed completely unaware, Clint probed carefully as he spoke.
"A few days ago, I accidentally touched a woman I shouldn't have touched."
"What woman could you not touch? You touch everyone, married women and virgins alike."
"There are exactly three types of women in the world I shouldn't touch, Your Highness."
Clint spoke with such a serious expression that even Roylin, who had only regarded him with disdain, became somewhat curious. He frowned his brown eyes and asked.
"What kind of women?"
"First, women involved with royalty."
"Right."
"Second, children."
"That's obvious too."
"Third, women who don't want me."
Having folded all three fingers he had held up, Clint sighed again.
In Teniac's social circles, there weren't many women who didn't want Clint Rishers. Clint was never a man one could promise a future with, but he was perfect as a one-night companion.
Perfect looks, tall height with a well-balanced physique, sociability that could make women giggle all night long.
Born into the prestigious Rishers family, he had more than enough money and excellent bedroom skills.
Once you got him into bed, no woman regretted that night. The same went for kisses.
So without examining the situation, thinking the woman waiting under the tree where he always met women was one of his women, he had kissed her.
But that masked woman. She had seemed so furious that he had broken his monthly rule—Clint's 'day of abstinence' when he spent the entire day reading books—and made an exception to kiss her. Yet when that mask was stripped away, Clint was engulfed by terror. It was a face he had never seen before. In that very moment, he realized this woman was the Crown Prince's fiancée whom he had never encountered at any party—Ailea Elgar Yuliana, the true owner of the very castle he had been using as his romantic rendezvous spot.
She, who would become Crown Princess, should have been the protagonist at every party. However, she rarely even came out of her bedroom. So until now, Clint had been giving money to Cathy, the castle's only maid, while using that castle as a place for happy romance. He had even given that secluded tree the nickname 'the tree of promise.'
Thinking about it, the possibility that she was the owner of that castle was too great. Only someone as self-willed as Clint would enter the castle of a woman engaged to the Crown Prince. The women had mostly followed Clint inside.
Despite such probing, Roylin didn't think that a man like Clint, surrounded by beautiful women, would have touched his fiancée. In fact, even if he had dragged Ailea away and forcibly violated her, he wouldn't have cared.
Roylin frowned as if he had heard something useless and said to Clint.
"Come to my office this evening. I have something to tell you."
At that moment, Clint's actions stopped.
